Pierrick Sorin is a famous French video artist. From the Cartier foundation to the Georges Pompidou center in Paris, through the Tate Gallery in London, the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Metropolitan Museum of Photography in Tokyo, his work has been presented in the high places of contemporary art, but also during private events for prestigious brands (Sony, Chanel, Renault, Galeries Lafayette.).
His genius is expressed through various forms of video art. Director of short films, creator of innovative visual devices and "optical theaters", he is an avid adept of self-filming. His talent is also expressed through stage design and video scenography, notably for operas like "La Pietra del Paragone" (Parma and Paris) or the "Pastorale" (Théâtre du Chatelet - Paris).
On the occasion of the "Pastorale" Opera, in collaboration with Eric Perroys, the video operator, VIXID developed a tailored video solution, with 5 VJX16-4 video mixers, to meet the specific needs of this creation.
