Rodolphe Burger's Illustrated Concert in Avignon
24 July 2010 - Cour d'Honneur of the Pope's Palace in Avignon
Charles Berberian and Philippe Dupuy, two major modern cartoonists, invest the famous Cour d'Honneur of the Pope's Palace in Avignon during the festival for a live drawing performance outlining Rodolphe Burger's live concert.
Rodolphe Burger, mostly known for his numerous collaborations (Alain Bashung, Jacques Higelin, Francoise Hardy, Jeanne Balibar ...) is accompanied by his loyal collaborators, the bassist Julien Perraudeau and the drummer Alberto Malo, as well as Erik Truffaz on the trumpet.
Created during the International Comic Book Festival of Angoulême, the principle of the show remains the same: drawings done in real time with four hands are projected in large scale on the Cour d'Honneur's walls, and are renewed with each song.
The drawings are mixed in real time by Fabien Morelet, using a VJX16-4 video mixer.

The Light Surgeons use the VJX16-4 at the D&DA awards in London

Pioneering collective of multi media artists The Light Surgeons were commissioned to create the visuals for the after party of the prestigious Design & Art Direction Awards at the Roundhouse in London in 2010.
The event featured live sets by Fyfe Dangerfield and NME's new favorites Chew Lips for whom they also provided visuals.
The visuals were inspired by the theme "tools of the trade" and combined generative, processing visuals that were mixed with motion graphics with a VJX16-4 video mixer.

22h13 - Pierrick Sorin's play
From June 2010
22h13 (ce titre est susceptible d'être modifié à tout moment) is a play in which video artist Pierrick Sorin humorously introduces his everyday life as a creative artist. His character, superbly played on stage by Nicolas Sensier, shares the thoughts and doubts that come with his job and his approach as an artist.
The play is positioned half way between visual performance and theatre, and features live video sequence inlays, broadcast over 3 screens. Eric Perroys, Pierrick Sorin's loyal associate and video manager for the play, chose once again VJX16-4 video mixers for this performance.

The VJX16-4 Snapshot Manager

Previewed at SIEL-SATIS 2009 show, the first VIXID program will launch on March 16th.
The Snapshot Manager is an extension of the VJX16-4 video mixer that will allow saving advanced video settings and easily recalling them live. 12 save buttons let you capture all mixer settings , through an intuitive and easy to use interface. This way, you can create your own set-ups before the event, and very easily load them live.
Users will experience even more flexibility in the production process, enhanced creative options, and increased security during their performance.

The German magazine VIDEO AKTIV DIGITAL assesses VJX16-4 video mixer

The German magazine Video Aktiv Digital tested the VJX16-4 video mixer capacities in its last issue.
Once again, the VIXID video switcher successfully passes the test and get a section title that could not be more flattering: "VENI, VIDI, VIXID!"

When the VJX16-4 video mixer was still in its beta-test version, Mondo DR already wrote an article calling it "revolutionary".
Today, the international publication for technology in entertainment published a full page about the video dedicated solution developed for the Pastorale opera (Théâtre du Chatelet - Paris). In fact, this article is about the video system created by VIXID labs engineers to meet the technical needs of Pierrick Sorrin in its spectacular staging. This solution included 5 VJX16-4 video mixers driven simultaneously from a single computer. A real opportunity for Mondo DR to write again on the French mixer skills.
